Gilda Baron has developed a unique style of textile art, which bursts out of the frame with life and vitality. The techniques used to achieve this include fabric dyeing, batik, hand and machine embroidery, hand made felt and applied pieces. The many layers are what makes Gilda's textile art so distinctive and draws the viewer into the scenes. 

Admirers and collectors of her art work can be found around the world, from Russia, to the USA. She has exhibited nationally with many solo shows around Great Britain.  

Gilda is an experienced teacher and has given many workshops around the world including Denmark and Norway. She has been Artist in Residence at Missenden Abbey and regularly teaches there. 

She is the Published Author of the book "The Art of Embroidered Flowers", commissioned and published by Search Press Ltd. It was recently put onto Waterstone Bookshops best selling craft book list. She is also regularly featured in magazines around the world from the USA to South Africa.
